HTC Vive and Vive Pro:

Manufacturer's Setup Guide: Vive Setup

SteamVR Software: SteamVR Software

The HTC Vive (Vive and Vive Pro) consist of a headset, two controllers, and base stations. This setup requires a computer with video out ports (HDMI/Display Port), 1 USB port, and power for each: headset and 2 base stations. You will also need to download SteamVR software from Steam.com (link listed above). The base stations connect via Bluetooth to your computer and are placed at opposite corners of your work space; facing each other at a slight downward angle. Follow the setup guide by your manufacturer (link listed above). If you are having problems connecting with base stations, ensure they are connected via Bluetooth to your computer. If orientation within SummitVR is not correct ensure the base stations are pointed and angled properly. After full setup, and you are running SummitVR and still not connecting, ensure that the Vive is powered on and that SteamVR is running. If you are continuing to have problems, please visit Vive FAQ page: Vive Community.

Oculus Quest:

Manufacturer's Setup Guide: Oculus Quest & Oculus Quest Setup

Oculus Quest Software: Oculus Quest Software

SteamVR Software: SteamVR Software

The Oculus Quest is unique in that it uses Inside-Out Tracking (tracking done in the headset) which does not require the use of base stations for movement tracking like the Vive or Rift. This innovation makes setup quicker and also more portable. Due to high compute demands, processing in SummitVR™ still has to happen on a computer so using the Quest Data Link Cable is necessary to operate SummitVR™ on a Quest headset. You will need access to one USB-C or USB-A port (depending on the Data Cable Link you purchase). Please refer to the above links for setup and required software to operate these headsets. If you are having problems, please visit the Oculus and Vive Community links provided above.
