‘Anonymous names NATO as its latest victim
Anonymous has attacked the websites of many government and non government institutions in the last couple of months and acquired huge amount of confidential data.
But the hacking group, after obtaining NATO’s data said that they will not be disclosing the material which they have because if they did then it will be very ‘irresponsible’ from their side.
The hacking group said that even they are not publicizing the data but they have about one gigabyte of NATO’s data with them.
The hacking group in their twitter feed teased NATO and wrote, “Hi NATO. Yes, we haz more of your delicious data.”
A NATO official said that they are aware about the hacking group’s claim that it has gained NATO’s confidential data and also said that they are investigating whether the data is hacked or not.
NATO’s official said, “We strongly condemn any leak of classified documents, which can potentially endanger the security of NATO allies, armed forces and citizens.”
Anonymous is a hacking group who holds sympathy with Wikileaks. Anonymous is responsible for holding cyber attacks against corporate and government Web sites worldwide. However, they claimed that are doing this against corruption.
