Anonymous targets Apple this time

The hacking group ‘Anonymous,’ after a bit of lay-off, attacked Apple’s website and also posted the data which they have stolen earlier.

On Sunday the hacking group had said that Apple is their target and they also said that they will launch more attacks on their website in the future. The hacking group also released the data during its Antisecurity campaign.

In a twitter feed, the ‘Anonymous’ hacking group said, “Not being so serious, but well ... Apple could be target, too. But don't worry, we are busy elsewhere.” In the twitter feed the hacking group also posted the link to the website in which they have shared the data.

Anonymous published the data which contained the administrator's names and the encrypted passwords of the server of Apple. The data which was stolen does not contain the credit card information of the iTunes online store.

However, the hackers have attacked the website which was used for online survey by Apple. The website is of very limited use for the hackers. After the attack, Apple Corp. has not commented on the matter.

Data breach by Hackers

In this year, the hacking group Anonymous and its compatriot LulzSec have constantly attacked the websites of various companies. The two groups have stolen number of important and confidential information in these attacks. The hacking groups have said that they are doing these activities in order to embarrass the company and also to bring awareness on various political issues.

Anonymous earlier this year attacked Sony Corp and acquired the credit card information of millions of users. The hacking group also attacked the government agencies like CIA and UK Serious Organized Crime Agency offline. They said that they have done that just for fun.

In June, Best Buy informed its customers that the hackers have stolen their email addresses. At that time it was discovered that the information has been exposed to the third-party vendor by the hackers.

Google also claimed that the hackers have also hacked the emails of highly ranked US officials at that time and Google has pointed its finger at China.
