Ever thought of a phone that offers the friendliness of Nokia but with a power packed OS like Windows Phone 7 ? Well, it may happen soon as Microsoft is losing the smartphone market share and desperately needs a handset maker where they can integrate Windows Phone 7.

If Microsoft wants to boost its profit margin in smartphone market then they should acquire or team up with Nokia.

Declining market share
In software and hardware market, the two companies have made their mark, but sadly for both of these formidable players, Google, Apple and Samsung are eating their hard earned market share very fast.

Windows Phone's market share is around 2 percent now. If Microsoft wants to regain its market leadership back, they need Nokia’s expertise.

Acquiring Nokia a better choice

Here's good news for all those who are thinking to buy Google's smartphone. The UK retailers, Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse, have reduced the price of Samsung Google Nexus S.

Amazingly there was no reason cited by anyone as to why all of a sudden the price was slashed.

The price cut
The introductory price of this smartphone was supposed to be £549.99 but retailers brought it down by £120 and the price stands at £429.95.

Not only this, it is also available at £30 for contract on a monthly basis. It is to be noted that the cut is on the SIM free version.
