In a major boost to the Android market, Motorola Mobility and Sprint have collectively launched two new Android-powered smartphones, namely Titanium and XPRT on Thursday.

Made keeping the business community in mind, Sprint will begin the shipments of the XPRT from June 5. The phone has been priced at $129.99 and is available on a two-year contract.

Both the Android-based touchscreen phones look almost alike and support physical QWERTY keyboards also.

According to RIM, these are the thinnest and most powerful Blackberry till date.

Last Monday, May 2, RIM showed a glimpse of their new smartphones that come with loads of new features and some improved facilities. The Blackberry Bold 9900 and 9930 are like twins as far as the specs are concerned.

The 9900 and 9930 vary only in their wireless radio standards. Both support 4G networks. But the 9900 supports HSPA+ (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access) connectivity and the 9930 supports CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) Rev. along with HSPA+ global roaming on GSM networks.

Speculations are high on the likely release date of tech giant Apple’s much-awaited iPhone 5, after Reuters cited a report on Wednesday that predicted the smartphone can be available in markets by September.

Reuters claimed that according to a Hong Kong-based report, the Apple was slated to start production of their latest iPhone by July.

The phone that has borrowed its look from iPhone 4, boasts of features like high-speed internet processing, higher screen resolution and a lot more.

According to 9to5Mac, “The iPhone 5 may also carry an upgraded A4 processor, already dubbed the A5 chip, in addition to a new Gobi WWAN chip already found in the Verizon iPhone, designed to work on both CDMA and GSM networks.”
