Research in Motion (RIM) has promised the Government of Indonesia that it will make the porn sites inaccessible through its smart phones, within the next four days. The company has also accepted the demand of installing servers within the country.

Indonesia, the country with largest Muslim population has announced its plan to ask all internet service providers, to block access to porno sites.

In August, the country announced that it had blocked nearly 4 million pornographic sites. Tifatul Sembiring, Communications and Information Technology Minister of the country condemned the visit of porn star, Tera Patrick, in October last year.

Now the same minister has gained success by RIM, agreeing to block porn content. The move by the RIM has unruffled the advocates of free speech.
