Sometimes a futuristic prank can give inspiration to the creative minds, to make the joke a reality. Well, that’s exactly what the Google’s April Fool joke on “Gmail Motion” has done to some ever inquisitive minds.

Some researches from USC’s Institute for Creative Technologies took the joke as a serious challenge, and developed the “Gmail Motion” for real.

What is Gmail Motion?
Motion sensor gaming is becoming more and more popular each day, and the perfection of Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect and Sony PS3 Move has been amazing.

Some companies are also working towards making this facility available on television and computers. That’s why most of us got deceived by the Google joke.

The Gmail Motion spoof claimed that users can type letters and send e-mail with full-body movements.

Tobii Technology and Lenovo have invented a new technology, which gives the freedom to control different functionalities of a laptop through the gestures of eye.

It sounds like a science fiction, but Sweden’s Tobii Technology’s newest eye tracking and eye controlling technology will let the users control some functions, by just looking at the desired parts on the laptop’s screen.

This groundbreaking new technology will bring a positive change in the handicapped people’s lives, especially those who unfortunately don’t have hands.

They have unveiled the laptop for the first time at CeBIT, last Tuesday.
