Gaming sites are buzzing with the anticipation of a possible early announcement of ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ after indications regarding the same came from one of the voice actor from the previous series.

With the huge success of ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ and ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’, Activision -- publishers of the franchise –- is believed to formally announce the newest addition to the franchise.

In a recent interview to a sports radio, ‘Modern Warfare’ voice actor Craig Fairbrass said, “I did Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as Gaz and then I did Ghost in Modern Warfare 2, which has become one of the more iconic figures in the history of computer games, which is great.”

Fairbrass added, “And I’ve just been out in LA doing something that’s going to be announced in May.”

In order to keep the players hooked on to its games, the social gaming company Zynga that has the tag line ‘Connecting the World Through Games,’ has started a new portal called Rewardville.

“With RewardVille, our aim is to delight players by rewarding them with new Zynga-level points and exclusive limited edition virtual items,” said the Vice-President of Zynga, Roy Sehgal.

For all those not familiar with Zynga, it is the same company that has made Farmville, Zynga Poker, and Mafia Wars that are current hot favorites of more than 250 million users on Facebook.

According to AFP, Zynga raised $1 million in 36 hours through its games for Save the Children’s Japan relief efforts, after the users purchased virtual products in games like Farmville, CityVille and Frontierville.

In an interview with Gamasutra, Nintendo America President, Reggie Fils Aime said, “We want consumers to see value in the software, whatever that appropriate value is, and we want to see that value maintained over time.”
