Findings of a latest survey have revealed that among the social media users, women and youngsters surpassed the number of men and older adults.

According to the San-Francisco’s Netpop Research firm’s survey, women in their early 30s are likely to involve in more than six social media activities, at a time.

Titled as ‘Social Animals: Who's Sharing What and Why Online?’, the report aimed to find out internet usage and the growing trends, that is the type of websites people accessed and it found that 73 percent of internet users used social media sites.

"It's becoming a form of seamless integration with users' lives; it's always with them," informed Cate Riegner, vice-president of Brand Insights and co-founder of Netpop Research.

An account on Facebook is a basic need today, as those who don’t have it, are seen very low in every sense by his peers.

Especially the kids presume such children to be very pessimistic, without any interest in life and trying new things.

Such children are also teased by the Facebook users, as those whose parents don’t allow them to do what they want and just want to be obedient kids at school as well as home.

Facebook makes its users stressed
However, a recent study by the researchers at the Edinburgh Napier University has revealed that more usage of Facebook, adds to the stress factor in students to a great extent.

Popular social networking site Facebook is all set to attract the gay community now, as it has recently launched two new options in the relationship status indicator settings.

The two new statuses that the people in the U.S. can choose from are, ‘in a domestic partnership’ and ‘in a civil union’, and the move is expected to go well with the LGBT society.

Currently, the options available are ‘In a relationship’, ‘Engaged’, ‘Married’, ‘It’s complicated’, ‘In an open relationship’, ‘Widowed’, ‘Separated’ and ‘Divorced’ and these new options would be added from today itself.
