In the latest turn of events, some of the major companies of the US have been sued by the University of California. Companies such as Facebook, Wal-Mart and Walt Disney will be facing the trial over patents dispute.

Zynga Inc's Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Karp, resigned recently, becoming the latest member of the company’s top brass to quit. The struggling social games development company, which is known for making popular Facebook games such as Farmville, has lost 3 Top Executives since August of this year.

Facebook and Yahoo on Friday settled their long-running legal battle over patents, and expressed consent on forging a new advertising partnership for Internet and licensing.
