The internet search giant Google has expanded its reach in the laptop market with the recent launch of Chromebook, while Lenovo has indicated the end of Netbook as it sees no future in the similar design.

The new chromebooks, manufactured by Samsung and Acer, are now available in stores across the U.S. and on sites like BestBuy and Amazon with a price ranging between $350 and $500.

Microsoft just before starting its Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) campaign had posted an accidental update on its E3 website announcing the arrival of the ‘Halo 4’.

The website post confirmed that ‘Halo 4’ is in its developmental stages and will be released soon. The post, however, was removed immediately.

The brief update on the website has brought excitement to the gamers who are eagerly awaiting its release. The game is expected to be released at the end of 2012.

Microsoft to develop the new series
Don Mattrick, president of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, ended the company’s E3 press conference with a preview of ‘Halo 4’ scenes, which starred its popular character Master Chief and Cortana.

Google is now the owner of PostRank, an internet company that provides analytical data on social networking websites, said a blog post by PostRank.

In the blog post PostRank's Chief Technical Officer, Ilya Grigorik stated, “We are extremely excited to join Google.”

“We believe there is simply no better company on the web today that both understands the value of the engagement data we have been focusing on, and has the platform and reach to bring its benefits to the untold millions of daily, active Internet users,” he added.

While the exact terms of the deal ware not revealed, reports indicate that the move will help in Google’s social media strategy.
