Google has recently stated that it will gradually stop the Google Apps support for older browsers, and focus on current and prior major versions of browsers.

The move will affect browsers like Mozilla’s Firefox 3.5, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), Apple’s Safari 3 and Google’s Chrome 9, which are unable to support new technologies.

In the company blog, head of Google’s enterprise engineering team Venkat Panchapakesan stated, "Beginning August 1, we'll support the current and prior major release of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari on a rolling basis."

"Each time a new version is released, we'll begin supporting the update and stop supporting the third-oldest version."

Not even a month has passed when Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 9 at South by Southwest, and now the Windows giant is ready with the Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 10. This preview will highlight some of the new features in store for the next version of the prominent web browser.

Emphasis on HTML5 language

Though Internet Explorer 9 has been appreciated by critics for its improved interface, fast performance and enhanced security however; there’s no time for relaxation for a browser trying to build its place in a crowded market place.

Commenting on this, Microsoft corporate vice president Dean Hachamovitch posted on the IEBlog "We're about three weeks into development of IE10, and based on the progress we've made, we want to start engaging the development community now.”

According to ConceivablyTech, Mozilla is planning to launch Firefox 5 to give a tough competition to Google Chrome and IE 9, and to retain its large market share.

The browser manufactures are battling with each other to get the largest mindshare and highest number of downloads, for quite some time.

Recently, IE9 and Chrome battled it out to provide best privacy to their users, and now Mozilla is focusing on other issues to get more internet users, and to keep their loyal customers happy.

For this, they have come up with Firefox 5. It comes with a number of new features to make your web surfing experience more pleasurable.
