A lawsuit has been filed against AT&T that the company is overcharging its customers for data usage.

A complaint has been filed against the company that alleges that the company is overcharging its 20 million iPad and iPhone customers for data usage. The lawsuit states that the company is charging about 300 percent higher amount from its customers.

The lawyers for the plaintiff said that they appointed a private firm to conduct the independent research that cost around $80,000.

The test

In a bid to restrict third party client applications from invading over its own applications, micro-blogging giant Twitter has issued some ‘State of the Platform’ rules on Friday.

According to an official announcement, the company has decided to come down hard on the third party applications that aim at being a replacement for the official applications of Twitter.

Ryan Sarver, Twitter's platform lead said that the company would be the primary interface for the users and so they have changed the ‘Terms of Services’ for third-party application developers.

Twitter has been in the headlines since Friday, for banning three applications from the website and restoring the services last night.

Reportedly, the applications used by BlackBerry and Android phone users, namely UberTwitter, now UberSocial and Twidroyd, for breaching copyright, as per Twitter.

Both the applications belong to UberMedia and it is estimated that there are millions of users, who were affected by the suspension of the applications by Twitter on Friday.

"These violations include, but aren't limited to, a privacy issue with private Direct Messages longer than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users' tweets in order to make money," said Twitter spokesperson.
