According to a note received from Appleinsider, Ming-Chi Kuo, a Security analyst with Concord Securities said that Apple has placed an order of 380,000 MacBook Airs of the next generation.

New version of the MacBook Air could be launched soon
Kuo said that while 55 percent of the new Macbook Airs will be 11.6 inch versions, the others will be 13.3 inch versions.

Kuo has been saying that Apple will be launching the new version of its MacBook Air by June or July.

He has also predicted that the new devices could be equipped with Sandy Bridge processors and the Thunderbolt technology for high speed transfers.

The prediction was supported by a report in the Taiwanese newspaper DigiTimes.

On its tenth anniversary Apple is planning to bring out something big. However, it is not clear that will it be a new product launch or something else.

Boy genius reports, which is considered as a solid Apple source said, “Apple may be planning something big.” Another report from 'Appleinsider' states that Apple has restricted the time-off of its employees. Apple’s anniversary is on Thursday, May 19.

According to the reports which are coming out, Apple has told its employees through mail that they cannot take leave from May 20 to May 22. Apple has also planned night shifts at each store and now they will require 10-15 workers for Saturday and Sunday.

Technology giant Apple may roll out its new Intel Sandy Bridge processor iMac as early as Tuesday, an AppleInsider revealed on Monday.

Reportedly, the iMacs which are already selling like hot cakes is being updated by the company and a new more powerful iMac with added features and a new processor is on the cards, if sources from inside Apple are to be believed.

“Apple plans to introduce the new models on Tuesday, May 3, swapping out the systems' first-gen Core i processors and mini Display ports for second-generation Core i chips and the company's new high-speed Thunderbolt port,” disclosed AppleInsider.
