NASA to get $100 million in 2014’s US federal budget for capturing asteroids, as per the recommendations of Bill Nelson, chairman, U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Science and Space.

The proposed plan of the space agency was to send an unmanned spacecraft to detect asteroid locations, disband it and then after destroying it to study the properties to know the composition.
