According to a survey published on Sunday the Gas prices have jumped nearly 20 Percent in the past two weeks. This is nearing an all time high price of gas in the United States.

The Survey published by Trilby Lundberg found that the average price of the self serve regular is $3.76, where as in the previous survey which took place three weeks ago the average price was $3.57.

Lundberg said that the prices are now within the firing range of all time high prices which took place in July 2008. At that time the price was $4.11 that means just 35 cents above the present price.

Trilby Lundberg said, “This doesn't mean that we will get there. Crude oil will decide.”

The rising oil prices and the commitment of the Obama administration will certainly increase the number of electric vehicles (EVs), running on the American roads.

The electric cars are gradually becoming popular among the automakers like the Tesla Roadster, Chevrolet’s Volt and the Leaf from Nissan.

The conditions are also favorable for the growth of the EVs. The rising prices of oil and the increasing dependence of the nation on the oil imports are the factors that demand for the growth of the EVs on the American roads.

The EVs were popular before the World War I, but were replaced by the cheaper gasoline driven cars.

Now the experts are sure that the EVs are on the path of popularity, as there are several factors in its favor.

Toyota has won the case over acceleration problem, which apparently caused a New York doctor to run into a tree.

The federal jury did not find Toyota Motor Corporation responsible for the crash, after a two hour long inspection.

This case was the first case decided after 2009, when the Toyota Motor Corporation recollected its millions of vehicles because of manufacturing defects.

The claim
The petitioner in this case, a trauma doctor who was driving his 2005 Scion, claimed that the defective floor mats, or the defective electronic throttle control system of his car might have lead to the accident.
